Women's Day and women's rights in Islam

Dear steemians

Today is International women's day.It is celebrated on 8 march every year.It is a global movement for women's right.According to UN "International Women’s Day 2018 is an opportunity to transform this momentum into action, to empower women in all settings, rural and urban, and celebrate the activists who are working relentlessly to claim women’s rights and realize their full potential."

And on this day i want to talk about Muslim women's.Women in islam are thought to be disgraced and oppressed always.It is a common thinking that muslim men's forced their women's to cover their heads and stay at home.Is this a reality or a misconception by media.Being a muslim women i am feeling this is my duty to uncover these facts.

I feels that over hundred years ago, Islam gave women rights that women in the West have only recently began to enjoy.Islam gives us freedom ,equality ,power and respect,In every relation and in all stages of life.Men and women all descended from a single person , the Prophet Adam (PBUH). Islam does not accept for either of them anything but justice and kind treatment.
In each relation like mothers,wives,sisters,daughters islam gives us respect and security.We can go outside ,can do job and business too.Islam granted that women's chastity must be protected and respected at all times. whether she belongs to our own nation or from enemy nation,she is co religion or belongs to other religion ,we find her in a city or in a forest A muslim may not physically abuse her under any circumstances.

Gender does not play any part in how a person is rewarded and judged.In this life or hereafter just good deeds will count.

"Never will I allow the loss of the work of any worker amongst you, male or female; you are of one another.”Qur’an 3:195

Islam gives us equal rights to get knowledge.We always encourage to get knowledge and we find many female scholars in history of muslims. Family women's of our beloved prophet was educated. From early years of Islam ,Islam supported women's in each field of life like education , army, medical,trade,business.

Our prophet said that

"“Education is compulsory for every Muslim."

In our family and married life islam gives us respect and complete security of our rights.

We are not slaves of our husbands.The husband has a duty to generously support and maintain his wife even if she is rich.let him spend what Allah has given him.Our beloved prophet many time advised men's to treat women's with kindness and love.

Islam gives us right to have our own property.Islam fixed our share in property of our husbands and parents and not allows anyone to change its rules.We can work to earn money if we want or if we need.We can purchase our own property.Islam gives us right to keep our all money.

Islam gives us right to express our own opinion in different aspects of life.Islam gives us right to choose our spouse.We
can select or reject marriage proposals.We can take kulaa(separation) from him if we are not satisfied or having problems.It gives us right to have custody our children after divorce.and forced men to complete their financial needs.We have right to remarry.
Islam gives us right to participate in political and civic engagements.We have voting power.

In Islam,there is no difference between man and women as regard to status rights and blessing.We have liberty.

"Hijab is not about oppression , but freedom from evil eyes."

I am satisfied that my religion commands me to cover my body.Muslim women's are the diamonds of Islam.and nobody will reveal their diamonds to strangers.I feels protected with hijab.

The sun does not lose its beauty when covered by clouds,the same way your beauty does not fade when being covered by hijab.
