Testicle Swelling: Common Scrotal Pains That Prove It’s Not Likely Cancer!

in #life7 years ago

Cancer, is that what you’re thinking? Okay just because you have testicles the size of tennis balls, it doesn’t mean it’s cancer, so, before getting into a frenzy at least let us rule out some of the many possible causes for testicle swelling.

When a man suffers swollen balls (excuse the expression) and has no explanation for the swelling, it’s natural to be concerned and think the worst. However, and yes YOU might NOT have an explanation but a doctor will.

Genital itching, inflammation, penis discharge and irritation is not always the outcome of something sinister.

Most accountable for testicle swelling and confusing lumps are cysts, hydrocele and varicocele.

Scrotum swelling is frequently connected to a condition called HYDROCELE. Explained it means a great mass of fluid is held up between the two membranes surrounding the testicles, thus instigating a gradual increase in size. Hydrocele is often caused by injury among other things. Pain isn’t something men experience with hydrocele, but discomfort is very likely if swelling increases which would making things extremely awkward down below.

SPERMATOCELE (spermatic cysts -testicular cysts). Another supposedly painless condition with most cysts being non-cancerous. Cysts generally come on the epididymis and fluid filled. Spermatocele retains sperm which display on the top part of the epididymis.

VARIOCELE is a bunch of twisted veins sited in the spermatic cord.

Aside from the genitals and concerning symptoms are happening to other parts of your body have them investigated.

SYMPTOMS below don’t normally warrant panic, but they do warrant a check-up if they’re not anticipated from trauma or something similar.

• Every now and again testicle or scrotum pain
• Lumps or bumps
• Swelling
• Weighty feeling in the scrotum
• Throbbing groin (lower abdomen)
• Enlarged breast tissue and tenderness
• Straining feeling

KIDNEY STONES is the leading cause of testicular pain followed by...

• Infection (Epididymitis)
• Large prostate
• Inguinal hernia or testicular torsion
• Testicular haemorrhage or tumour
• Abscesses
• Injury
• Orchitis
• Gangrene infections
• Sexually transmitted infection

And CANCER...

Cancer is at the bottom of the list, so you put it at the bottom of your mind until tests are done to find if there's another cause for your swollen testicles.
