Waywardness of a child, should the blame be on society, parents or children themselves.?
Wayward is the act of doing what one is told not to do and difficulty in controlling one's character. A child can be wayward in so many ways; a child can be wayward because of one reason or the other and also, a child waywardness doesn't start a day.

Waywardness is a spirit on its own I believe,because being wayward goes with stubbornness and spirit of waywardness are mostly common in the lives of the glorious children, consequently inhibiting their productivity.

What are the things that could lead to a child's waywardness? Let's take a look at some causes:

PEER PRESSURE
An adage says

"Bad gang corrupt good manners"
The type of friends one walks with will determine the character of a child.For example you cannot tell me you walking with a thief,armed robber,prostitute won't make you one.Even if you do not want to be part of them but you seeing the kind of life they are living; luxurious life. That alone can lure someone to do what they engage theirselves in because no matter how they give you free things, One day,they will surely get tired.Peer pressure (Bad one) makes one to be wayward even if one comes from a good home.

POOR BACKGROUND
This is very common,it should be the number one cause of being wayward,if a child is from a poor background not having enough to eat,to wear and to boast of,it makes one to join bad gang and be wayward and also make money illegally. It's hard to see a child from a wealthy background being wayward although they are sometimes wayward but their own waywardness might not involve stealing but smoking,clubbing,womanizing and cultism.

OVER PROTECTION
When parents are being over protective on a child,it makes them to think and do what they never thought of doing and what they haven't engaged themselves in. Parents should try and know that a child can be wayward even if they are 101% protective on them.I am typical example; My mum is over protective and that has really affected me a lot but I did something I have never done before.😒😒.

GREEDINESS
A child's waywardness can be caused by the act of being greedy; not satisfied with what one has, fighting to have more than what they could afford.

LACK OF WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT
If a child doesn't have who to encourage him/her,seek advice from,this makes them to join bad gangs. In short, there'll be no one to put them in check.

Some children being wayward are not just wayward willingly,it might be either of any of the point listed above.A wayward child thinks the following can be done via waywardness:

• Independence
  *Living a life that ought to be for the future in the present.

When children decide not to do some certain things, it could work for their life and stop making them being wayward.The following can stop waywardness

• Determination.

• Contentment,when a child is contented with what he/she has,everything will work together and there won't be a reason to be wayward.

• Having a mentor.

Effects of being wayward can't be over emphasized;

• Bad reputation
