A second to save life

How could you save life in just a matter of seconds? Saving life is not only for Medical Doctors, Nurses and those who have professional trainings or have undergone training on first aid, CPR and other forms of rescue trainings. A very simple understanding of hazard and its possible negative impact on human safety can lead to heroic act once one developed an attitude of being pro-active. Recognizing hazards you see wherever you are or anywhere you go may it be at home, at the workplace or even on the streets is a great start in preventing an accident. Life that’s at risk under certain unsafe environment condition or unsafe action can be saved if immediate actions are made.

The presence of hazards is what makes the place and individual present at risk. Everyone is vulnerable and accident is inevitable if hazard goes unnoticed and uncorrected.

But how could you correct it if you don’t know what are those? Indeed, the eyes cannot see what the mind doesn’t know. We have to know the hazards that we usually encounter for us to know when to act appropriately.

Being used to a certain condition doesn’t guarantee that you are already immune from accident, the beast might be just waiting for the unfortunate right time to attack you off guarded. Sometimes we tend to be very complacent despite that we already see the impending hazards and deliberately ignore and be passive with the presence of an unsafe condition around us.
