WARNING - The following images and videos shown on this article are graphic.
According to Wikipedia “The Forest of Aokigahara (青木ヶ原), is a forest on Yamanashi Prefecture standing on 30 Kilometer land of hardened lava“. Nearly 60KM away from Mount Fuji itself. It is also located at the north-western side of the mountain.
Coordinates : 35°28′12″N 138°37′11″E
What is this forest known for?
It is known for most people as the “The Suicide Forest”. It is because the forest contained about 100 or more people who died by committing suicide. And as the year 2010 shows up, the number increased by about 67.
Though the number of suicides that have happened on the forest are only what the locals along with the officials found, it is estimated that there are 12 more people who committed suicide on the Forest.
It is said that the officials stopped publicizing the real number of deaths to the public to clean and stop further incidents from happening.

@originalworks
did you do this for the guy from youtube? great post.
I've not seen this before so people actually go to this forest just to commit suicide. Too bad. Thanks for sharing. You can also visit my blog @nellyprecy
Very interesting article but it makes me sad. What’s the reason for suicide especially in this forest? You know some more facts?
In Munich, Germany is a bridge, called Großhesseloher Brücke. It’s a very famous place for suicide. Since 1877 more than 300 people have died there. I might write an article about this bridge sometimes.
interesting post!
Fascinating and beautiful forest. It is a shame that so many choose to wand their short lives in such a place. Instead of beautifying it, it taints the land with negative energy. People should never use suicide as a resolution to their situations. There is always a better way. While this forest is beautiful, I fear that it is now tainted and needs to be cleansed. I have heard stories of this place and it makes me wonder if it does not call to people who are suffering and influences them in some negative way. Thank you for sharing and keep on posting. The world is full of mysteries waiting to be discovered.
Much love and light,
