Come va la malattia di Hashimoto? Hashimoto non conduce allo sviluppo dell'ipotiroidismo erbivoro. La mancanza di ormone tiroideo è sperimentata dal medico che sta vivendo. In caso di carenza, viene applicata la terapia sostitutiva con ormone tiroideo. Il trattamento più efficace è un farmaco T4 sintetico chiamato Levotiroxina.
La levotiroxina è la stessa di T4 prodotta dal corpo. Per questo motivo, può normalizzare la funzione tiroidea. Le persone continuano a prendere questo medicinale per tutta la vita
