I'm Going To Tell You What You Want To Hear

As an intelligent woman, insert maniacal giggling here, I am continually surprised, unsurprised at how easily people mis -use their words. Honesty saves time, it saves emotions, it saves money. So what is wrong with people that have to misrepresent themselves to others? Perhaps they are borderline psychopathic, narcissistic sociopaths who really just get off on a little "conquering". Perhaps they use their slick silver tongues to roll out what they think you want to hear because they have so little respect or esteem for themselves? A dose of ego botox?

What happens when you become so desensitized and mistrustful of the words people use, the way humans communicate? You have a hard time believing someone's truth.

I've believed so many silver tongued words, it's like swallowing mercury because it's pretty.
