Hero or villain??

He left home at 18,
Stayed away from friends and family for 5years,
He had 3months to visit home in six years,
He was posted to a battalion,
His battalion was deployed to a war zone,
He was there for 8years,
He came home with broken limbs,
He was told he will never work again,
His mortgage expired and he was evicted,
He became homeless,
Homeless and depressed,
By the people he lived to protect,
Against all enemies, both foreign and domestic,
This is the life of a soldier.
He pays the ultimate price for humanity,
Yet humanity treats and regards him as a villain.
