light and fluffy american style pancakes
These light and fluffy American pancakes are quick and easy to make and taste delicious. With these pancakes you will have a very nutritious and filling breakfast so you will not need to snack until lunch time.
When it comes to breakfast, I'm a bit lazy when it comes to lighting the stove and cooking something. Most of the time I make myself a bowl of Cheerios milk and sometimes swap it for honey toast.
To make these American pancakes, you will need the following supplies: A large container, kitchen scale, a measuring jug, a whisk, and a frying pan.
Active Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
200 g of wheat flour with yeast
50g sugar
a pinch of salt
250 ml of milk (I use whole milk but any is fine)
2 Eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Butter to grease the pan
How to prepare American pancakes
Sift the flour (200 g) into a large bowl.
Add the powdered sugar (50 g) and the pinch of salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs (2 eggs).
Add the eggs, vanilla and milk (250 ml) into the mixture with the flour and beat until you have a smooth batter.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
Add a ladle of the pancake mix.
Cook until bubbles start to form on top, flip pancake over and cook for another minute until pancakes are golden brown.
Serve with butter and maple syrup.
Note:
If you use a non-stick frying pan, it is not necessary to use the little butter to grease it. However, if you wish, you can use it to ensure that the pancake does not stick.
