We humans have accomplished some amazing feats over the years from discovering fire to the wheel to solar power to a Large Hadron Collider. As time time passes, we get better and better at arranging matter in such a way that we can accomplish a specific goal. Sometimes these things happen on accident and lead to great discoveries. For example drug design. Pharmaceutical companies have researchers manipulating matter in such a way that it creates a specific piece of matter that has a specific effect on our central nervous systems. We have managed to create an internal combustion engine by arranging certain pieces of metal in such a way that it results in an energy powerhouse for cars. Cars are another example. 

It just fascinates me that we continue to improve upon our ability to manipulate matter to make it do what we want it to do. What happens when we get to a point where we can create entire universes? Is that where we came from? Is our universe the result of another species getting so good at manipulating matter that they created another universe? Is that where that species came from too? Another species did the same thing to them?! Lol. Down the rabbit whole we go.
