There Is Time For Everything – A great principle of life.
Hello everyone, this is your one and only @paajohnny. Today I want to share with you a principle of life which many young ones try to escape. A great principle of life, the principle of everything happening at it’s own right time. As the great king Solomon said “there is time for everything”.
As a young adult growing up, I have been pressured with so many things like; “when are you going to marry”. “Your friends are making it, what about you?” “Won’t you hurry and give birth?” “Life is short Johnny, do something before you die”. People including my uncles and aunties give me all these pressures. The truth is I do think of everything they say and I have tried to do some of the things they told me but nothing good came out of it.
Let me share a short story with you;
About a year ago in my house, a tenant used to pressure we the other tenants in the house to cut the branches of an avocado pear tree behind the house. He said this because the tree’s branches used to scratch the roofing sheets of our building especially at night and makes a lot of noise. These disturbances made the man to pressure us more and more but nobody responded to the pressure from this man. Now the owner of this avocado pear tree was a very troublesome woman and nobody wanted to find her trouble. Nobody wanted to exchange words with her.
About five months ago, one Saturday morning while I was still in bed, I heard a lot of noise behind my room, so I looked through my window to see what was going on and to my surprise I saw an excavator removing all the trees from the house behind my room where the avocado tree was. The landlord who was in the United Kingdom had arrived and wanted to build a new apartment just where the avocado pear tree was.
Lessons from the story
So you see if we had rushed to go and cut just branches we would have found trouble for ourselves, but as the right time came, it wasn’t just branches but the whole tree was removed. That is what I mean by There Is Time For Everything.
Making it in life is not about being smarter or faster than someone. Yes! The smart and the fast do make it in life but ask yourself, what was the consequences? How did they get there? What did they do whether good or bad to get where they are today? Sometime as we rush to make it we miss the good things that time had prepared for us. We end up rather destroying families, breaking up good relationships that meant a lot to us just because we wanted to beat time. It is all about waiting for the right time to come and everything will be as good as we never thought of. Life has a lot of good things to give to us but rushing is not the answer for getting it. It is all about waiting on patiently for the right time.

I hope you have learnt something from this. There is truly time for everything in life. Rushing wouldn’t take you there but rather help you miss the good pleasures of life.
