Falling incomes for families receiving benefits why? - In the past,the value of benefits would rise inline with the cost of living More worrying is the fact that from 2016 -2020 the value of most working age benefits won't go up at all. This means that even if the cost of living increases,the value of many benefits won't.As a result,most families incomes won't stretch as far as they used to.
