RE: The Easy Job Theorem

in #life6 years ago

Smart post!

Thanks for this, bro. You reminded me why I started following you and this is the proof I did the right thing.

This is really the kind of advice I look for, but... there is always a problem. The thing is the country I live in. I mean, in this country neither me, nor anyone can put on practice the cool advice you gave here. Why? well, first of all: hyperinflation (forget about saving money, or even having money), second, there are almost zero job offers, so it is impossible to even imagine there is a cool job waiting for me. Well, I had so many arguments that I forgot them all, but for you to have an idea of what I'm saying, I live in Venezuela.

I'm gonna take a look at the job list, maybe it would help :)

Keep posting cool stuff like this :)

Nice to see you here and thanks for your comment ! :-)

You're right, life is much harder down there than here in the West. We are clearly privileged.

In theory, assets such as gold, houses or stocks are a protection against inflation, but not hyperinflation. They only make sense if you expect hyperinflation and not if you're already in the middle of it. The only advantage of hyperinflation is that your debt dissolves. Asset accumulation is very difficult. Despite that, still try to do that. I imagine that even foods and necessities are valuable.

In such a difficult environment, I think security is the most important thing. Which jobs are safest up to date? Are these positions offered by the state? If your job is secured by state, I would not give it up.

Are there opportunities to emigrate for you? Or to work in a neighbouring country?
