Be positive

Sometime ago, I was discussing with someone who was a close family friend, I had a particular idea that I felt he was the best person to partner with in carrying out the idea since it was his area of expertise. Surprisingly, he gave me numerous reasons why that idea cannot be successful and not for once did he praise the idea, I went back home dejected because my hope was dashed.

A lot of time people look up to you for just a word of encouragement to carry out a particular task, it is a privilege for you to be consulted especially if it has to do with your area of expertise, of course you are not the only expert in town. Even if it's something you know nothing about, your positivity matters a lot. But some people are in the habit of seeing the risks first before the success of any project.

Life itself is full of risk and it takes courage to go through it, just because you could get hit by an oncoming car while walking on the road does not mean you should stop walking, it's just for you to prevent the car from hitting you but if peradventure you got hit by a car you should know the immediate response to take.

Stop being a vision killer to that friend that believes in you, in every impossibility there is always a possibility if only you want to see it, it is always there. Be positive, speak positively, act positively, while building the vision of others you are also gaining more courage to achieve yours.
