Defining Your Path To Success

Success as defined by the Advanced English dictionary is the "achievement of an aim". For success to occur, vision and goal setting must be in pari passu with diligence. It's just like setting a target of making 10million Naira this year, and at the end of the year you were able to achieve it after series of sleepless night and hard work.
A true success is a function of goal setting and your commitment towards it. Due to man's dynamic nature, almost every aspect of our lives seems enormous and complex, thereby making our success come in disguise.
Success is the final destination all men hope for, so to get to this destination, we need to make a path way and some instruments that would be of great use in the journey to Success. Just like the saying "if you fail to prepare, you are preparing to fail". As human you must have specific goals and embrace good qualities; and not be of the opinion anywhere you end up is your fate. You are the master of your fate and the captain of your destiny; nothing can change that. So the decisions and path you take determine where you end up. So in order to achieve Success you must work towards the goal you set for yourself using the best means possible.
Many give excuses for failure like; it was too hard that is why I failed or there was nobody to help me. But the truth is the road to success is never easy and there are no short cuts but it takes great physical and intellectual strength to succeed.

I'll introduce you to the Seven Principles of Success which I refer to as "success key". They are vital if success must be achieved. They are;

1. You must have a dream and a target.

2. You must embrace the James Owen's four positive D's which are: Determination, Discipline, Dedication and Diligent.

3. Throw away the three negative D's which are: Doubt, Discouragement and Disturbance.

4. Be positive and sincere to yourself and others.

5. Always learn from other successful people by reading books written by them.

6. Be willing to succeed - by doing whatever it takes to succeed.

7. Understand the value of time management.

The choices we make today determine the future we live and to that we owe nobody but ourselves the duty to make the right choices. Like the saying "it's never too late to start now" but I opine its better to start now. So if you have no dream of how you want your future to be, I urge you to start now, because a man without dream is a dead man.

Do not rush into concluding about what you want or where you want to be in the future but rather take time and scrutinize yourself and every thought that pops up in your mind. It may be time consuming but just do it and focus on your new path, I bet you even the sky cannot be your limit and nothing can stop you from doing exploits.

Longer Fellow, an American poet writer said in one of his work and i quote "The great height seen and kept by noble men was not attained by sudden flight, but they toil the night while the companion slept. The bottom is dense and the top is spore, strive for the great height and join the noble men".
