Ever since I started engaging fully on steemit, my life has not remained the same.

I come from the part of the world where ethnic/religious intolerance rules the heart of men. There has been incessant killings and clashes based on religion and ethnicity. Intolerance for another person’s way of life and believes is a common norm here.  

Furthermore, aggressiveness has taken over a lot of people as the means of livelihood is deteriorating more and more. Naturally, we are happy people and have been rated the happiest people in the world severally, but the popular saying that, 

“A Hungry man is an angry man” 

is now plying out fully on my people. 

Environment they say is a major factor that influences ones character. Knowingly, or unknowingly, we pick one or two habits from people around us. Of course persistent habit forms a character. Personally, aside outside influences, I’m a selfless and gentle person (I’m not trying to blow my trumpet). However, over the years, a lot of mishaps have almost changed me to whom I am not. I almost slipped, in fact, I did slip…but thank God I am gradually recovering and finding my true nature. 

My engagements on Steemit have impacted my life in the most positive way I never imagined. I have done a few posts on unconditional love, kindness and selflessness. Every post I write here somehow sticks to my memory and it helps me check my daily activities as well. 

I am not just earning rewards alone for my posts; Steemit is changing my life for good. Yesterday, I had a very serious misunderstanding with somebody. I felt treated cruelly by that person, that I was willing to retaliate in like manner. But my heart kept reminding me of my posts as regards to kindness here on Steemit . My conscience kept telling me 

“Preacher, do what you preach”.

 After a while, I calmed myself down and resolved to pay back cruelty with kindness.  

I have solved a pressing personal need with the generosity of @infovore and Steem I withdrew ; though it was never my wish to withdraw for now. 

I have also learned the act of giving and nondiscrimination here. I understand that steemians are a people of different races and religion, yet believes, skin colours and regions are not a criteria for anything done here. 

Steemit is blessing my life in a most remarkable way, and I’m most grateful to every Steemian I’ve ever come across here. 

Steemit is not just raising "The next generation of millionaires", Steemit is reshaping lives for good. 

To me, Steemit is a “Blessing”
