The Recovery #9

Well after having your leg amputated abd a whole lot of other things going wrong, Id feel very bad for you... luckily, thats not what happened to me, today I actually got an understanding that it could have been worse.

While sitting in class today I was listening to other kids walking in and saying things like, “I want to break my leg sothat I can stay at home”, thats not a good way to think about it, in a way I feel so stupid for hurting myself but in another way... Im grateful, this experience is going to be like none other...

I want to finish with my recovery and have people come to me and say that I inspired them, no not inspired them to break their leg, but that I inspired them to never give up, the doctor told me that he thinks its better that I go to school, and that’s precisely what Im doing, he told me that if it gets sore I can go home, thats also what Im doing, but thats not the point.. XD

Today I realized how much of an inspiration I can be to others, and we all can, its the small things that count, like for me, going to school, pushing through the pain for the recovery, all of these things, inspire others.

The point is to never give up, to keep pushing harder, if you fall down youve got to get up twice as strong and try again twice as hard, although we all go through our trials... thats not a good enough reason to just go and give up, come to think of it... there isn’t any reason to give up.

In one of Gordon B. Hinckley’s talks he says this,” Do not ever give up. You have never lost as long as you try. Keep at it.”

I see my injury in a different way now, I see it as a Blessing in disguise, It gives me the opportunity to inspire others, and thats a good thing that all of us should try do, no not break your leg... inspire others..XD
