RE: Overcoming the egoistic mind #Where to start?
The problem that so many people have is the LACK of self appreciation. People are told so often, including by posts like yours, that they should stop thinking about themselves and being giving to others, think about the benefit of others (the giver rather than the reciever). This line of thought leads them to think that their prosperity and their good fortune in life are LESS important than their peers. What a shame! Because such thinking takes their power away, their inner connection with the source and ultimately creates more sheeps, slaves and victims. Understand, only a master can be in service!
Yeah you are right, and one can still enjoy the same things no matter the intention behind it :)
I try to write this from the receivers perspective, and inspire an alternative way of receiving, where we can enjoy gifts, or anything really, to a higher degree simultaneously as we train our perspective by seeing the best in others.
First it might come across as surrendering and giving up power, but the power given in return, to control the entire world view, is so much greater :)
Either we slave for the ego and yes, become sheep, or we act in our true best interest, and receive only to give the possibility for the other part to truly give, a positive feedback loop.
Thanks for your insightful comment, it gives me hope :)
... Your wise words remind me the immortal ancient parable - Only a master can be in service.
A master knows to make themselves a channel for the universe's wisdom, and to illuminate that wisdom back to the world, for others to feel and become channels themselves.
And so a loop it is.
Thank you.
