In this regard, I like to quote the "arrow and target" allegory -
In order to hit a target the shooter must focus in the target! If they mistakeny focus in the arrow or on the path the arrow needs to go through until it hits the target, then the chances to hit the target where needed are reducing.
Same with goals. The trick is to set the goals using a broad brush and then let the path lead the way to the fulfillment.
Thank you David(@nomad-magus), well ... from my point of view it is important to be aware of the steps you need to do in order to fullfill your purpuse .... but your attitude is also right, focusing on gols makes you to focus more on the solutions to the problems whick you may encounter in your way to reach your goal!
There's magic involved in this. One just focuses on the goal, releases agenda as to the specifics, trusts and allows magic.
Your approach is equally legit.
