mistaken for flirting

My friend's Ex was celebrating her birthday/graduation party
and they were short on time looking for a host for the program
they called me up asking if I would be willing to do the thing on short notice
I agreed as they were friends.

Everything went well I didn't stutter I didn't eat my words, said everything nice and clear
didn't have any dead air or awkward silence during the event.
they told me that the slideshow would be delayed a bit and they would be waiting a while,
I decided to interview some of the guests to keep the flow going,
I interviewed a couple and things went well, a few laughs here and there
when I interviewed one of her friends I sat next to her, and in the middle of the conversation
she suddenly said "before anything else, i'm married" raising her hand and pointing to the ring
on her finger, I was somewhat confused as I was just asking randomly to avoid silence.
maybe she thought I was flirting since I sat next to her?
what do you guys think?

after everything else we ate proceeded with the program nice and smoothly
went home and got a few complements, I didn't get paid though I'm not a pro or anything
I can just be chatty when needed.
