Starting a Health and Fitness (B)Log
Hey Steemians!!
Here we are folks! After patiently waiting the time has now come. We are officially moved into our new home, starting our diet, and gearing up mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially for this next shift. We have a lot more space so you know what that means, time to buuuuuild!! So the last couple months, our lifestyle habits have been hella shitty. We stopped taking our supplements, numbed out with videos and television, while stuffing our face with food. This has caused both of us to feel sluggish, depressed, stressed, in pain, and just unhappy.
Eva has been wanting to clear up her face from dark spots and spot pimples, but because of a poor diet, her face has broken out more. While Yull has been feeling sick, stressed, inflamed, and dermatitis breakouts . Now that we are getting our shit together, we plan on using a ketogenic diet and implementing different fasting protocols. We also plan to lift 2 times a week, and keep it simple, but please believe the switch will be flipped to BEASTMODE.!!
We’re very adamant about working smarter not harder, as both of us have injuries we wish not to aggravate/make worse.
Keto has been amazing to us in the past. We had clearer skin, teeth were healthier and whiter, body in less pain, and we weren’t hungry around the clock. That’s one of the goals, to be free from our addiction to food. Ultimately, the goal is to conquer the flesh. Keto helps us feel and look better, but in the end we gain so much control of our habits and health, and that’s what makes it a MAAAAJOR KEY DJ Khaled voice

I can hit pullups with 135lbs for 2 reps
Legpress 810lbsx8-12reps depending on the day
Haven’t benched in awhile but I estimate my decline bench around 275x3
Experience Level: Been training for around 14 years, but most of it was bro splits and such. I only have been training optimally for around 4-5 years now.
So with that out the way let’s start trying out recipes and such!! I want to start making cheese cake again, and the boss lady is wanting to explore the bounds of our instant pot. Any recipe recommendations are welcome, especially keto ones.
We plan on staying low carb till Eva’s birthday (12 Dec) then we plan on enjoying a full diet break. I’m excited about next week because I have some events planned for her that she doesn’t know about. I’ll be resuming my diet experiments around the 16 of December. I think I’ll probably do a week long fast a week before Christmas. Clean up my life and get it in order before the new year. Meditate, do yoga, go for walks, and go inward. My Christmas present to myself will be becoming a minimalist. I feel it is going to set me up for better years to come.
So far my experiment with cannabis is turning out very good. I am pretty sure I got into ketosis last week, but I did not have keto strips to check. I have them now, so I look forward to getting into ketosis and noting the difference in highs that I got from the beginning of this week compared to Saturday when I believe I'll be in ketosis. I did notice a HUGE drop in tolerance comparing last Mon to last Sat so I expect an even bigger drop by Eva's Bday ( as long as I stick to the plan 😪). I'm thinking about doing a 48hr fast starting Thursday afternoon and ending Saturday afternoon. During which time I'll also take a T-break (A THC break). I am excited to be able to get a good benefit from MJ again, I feel like we had a falling out. But I'm gonna smooth things over, cause she's a good girl, who me and the Mrs love spending time with 😂😉 so I cannot let our relationship sour lol.
I'm not tracking calories yet, just fasting, keto...ish....and eating by feel. Stay tuned, things are slowly heating up. Nah, I just turned the stove on lol, but maybe the heat is coming soon 🤷🏾♂️.
