A credit to the dad for allowing you to 'taint' his son with all that knowledge. A lot of religious folks I know want to imprint their kids early to follow their beliefs, and it's kind of creepy (to me) when kids are reciting bible verses and getting baptized in various religions before they even know what the words or the acts even mean.
I'm in your line of thinking, where nobody really knows what will happen when we die or what god(s) there is/are. Which is why it's always so silly to me when people fight and die over it, when they're just as likely as the other guy to be wrong.

My friends believe it's a personal thing, and no one's business to be told about uninvited, so I usually forget they're religious at all. They never say grace at barbecues or group dinners, and the only reason we did this time was because their kid started. I get the feeling that if their son decided to question his beliefs, they'd welcome his decision.
