Things Only Old Souls Will Understand...
Do you ever feel like you just don't belong or fit in? Whether in a social setting like a party, or sitting with your loved ones at home.
Do you ever find a different perspective on subjects that others don't see?
Don't fret because this could mean you are an old soul.
Now the term old soul is often thrown around a lot, but not everyone is as wise and experienced as the true old soul. These traits come naturally to old souls and are very admirable traits to have.
Are you an old soul? Read below to find out:
The need to be alone:
Old souls will appreciate time reflecting on their day, often finding peace in the bedroom. When life becomes overwhelming, isolation and solitude are a necessity. This is a good time to get things done, and you will make use of it. It's not you are a hermit, but you know personal space is a great way to be yourself and explore.
Highly observational and intuitive:
Old souls can read a room or person like a favorite book. It's easy to identify characteristics and feel like you understand a peer in hardly anytime. You often trust your gut and come out on top, because you know deep down from past lives, you have experience and embrace it.
You’re thoughtful and introspective:
Old souls tend to think a lot, often contemplating everything. Their ability to reflect and learn from their actions and those of others is their greatest teacher in life. One reason why old souls feel so old at heart is because they have learnt so many lessons through their own thought process, and possess so much insight into life situations from their ability to quietly and carefully observe what's going on around them.
You aren’t materialistic:
Possessions have no real value to you. They just aren't a priority, whereas friendships and meaningful connections are the real way to be 'rich'. The old soul doesn’t see the purpose of pursuing things that can be easily taken away from them.
Real greatness is not possessions, power, money or fame, but being a good person and doing good things.
The appreciation of the journey:
Learning go along with the ride and trust the universe is something you've accepted. You know that things are always temporary in life and can handle change. Change is seen as exciting and not something to be dreaded. On long journeys you will often admire the views, and not get impatient. You know reaching the destination is something that will come in time, in the meanwhile appreciate whats going on in the moment and live in it.
Lastly, I'm not trying to appeal or exclude an audience. I just want to spread the message that old souls who have been made to feel like outcasts or shamed for being different, that you aren't a weirdo or alone. There are many wise, wonderful people who feel the same. You don't have to change, your soul is just hardwired a different way and that's perfectly okay. :)
that's good to know thanks a lot for sharing and keep on posting ;)
