HOPONOPONO - Healing through Forgiveness
Hi!!! In this opportunity I want to talk about a healing technique that I met several years ago, in that continuous search for my peace and well-being.
You are wondering healing from what? During my short life I have had endless experiences that have led me to express feelings, impulses and desires, activating memories of pain, anger, fear, insecurity, revenge, ect. In all this process I have realized that these memories date from my childhood and even, according to my beliefs, from past lives. Despite considering that I am a good person, that is, my actions in general are not intended to harm anyone intentionally (in all possible ways), there are situations that are repeated over and over again and activate these feelings and memories, which from, My conception of spiritual evolution is with the purpose of transforming them and transcending them. How? In my experience, when I have maintained such situations, my physical body, emotional, energy centers, have experienced unpleasant changes as is the case of diseases that have limited the enjoyment and permanent happiness in my life.
At this moment you ask yourself, what should I do? That's where the action of Forgiving plays a very important role. In my opinion, it is one of the manifestations of love and here is why: For me, to forgive means to understand and accept. In the most extreme situation (you can imagine any painful or humiliating event, that a person who hurt you in some way physically or emotionally or that you have hurt someone), we must become aware that we are part of a divine plan (which goes further beyond what we can see, touch and even think about), where good and evil coexist (that is evident with the fact that there are murders, rapes, robberies and on the other hand, we have evidence of generosity, acts of charity, friends, the birth of a baby). This affects you or not, depending on the role you play in life. Once you understand this, you will realize that everything that happens has a purpose and it is based on evolving to fulfill the Divine Plan that is to BE HAPPY, however, in the end you decide whether to transform that (feelings of pain, hate, revenge, ect.) in liberating feelings of high vibration such as compassion, tolerance, which for me is transcendence. I call them liberators because they keep you in harmony, they give you peace, they keep you in continuous flow with life, unlike the others (resentment, pain, etc.) that keep you anchored to situations, overwhelm you, and do not let you move foward to achieve the deep longings of your being .
So, how can we begin the path of forgiveness? (Because we know that does not happen so fast many times but it starts with a decision to do so). A widely recognized Hawaiian technique is HOOPONOPONO, which means "to amend", "correct an error" and consists of repeating the following sentence: "I'M SORRY, FORGIVE ME; I LOVE YOU, THANK YOU ", when we are going through painful situations or that we are not accepting to live. Why these words? Its meaning is very powerful and I think that the key to the success of this ancestral Wisdom is that you tell them yourself (activating your levels of consciousness in the process, subconscious and supraconscious), it is an act of love with your own being and acceptance of the divine plan, discovering your own Divinity (by the way that we were created in the image and likeness of GOD).
Saying "I'M SORRY: means to take responsibility for the situation you are living, "FORGIVE": is to apologize to yourself for having generated this situation, "I LOVE YOU": Love is transformative, you say it to all memories that led you to live these situations and "THANK YOU": Although the situations experienced are painful, we must thank them and give you the opportunity to release them, transform them.
