Once, I remember coming into the classroom and telling my students that they were going to decide their evaluation plan for that semester. The kids refused, they made excuses: they didn't want to make the decision. I made them see the responsibility we have in deciding, but also the freedom. Deciding is one of the freest acts that human beings have. We should always decide what is best for us and what makes us happy. Because there is no loss: where we are happy, there it is.
