Will the Wars ever end?

We all crave for peace but yet there is so much disturbance and chaos all around us. There are so many parts of the world where people are living in continuous turmoil and it so dreadful to even think what their lives must be like. Living on constant fear and between violence where everything is so uncertain about life, that's the biggest misery of life.

Wars are the result of the ego of a few. There are some people in the world who want to expand at any cost, whether it is financially or in status and power, they just want to grow big then be it whatever price has to be paid and at whatever costs. Power is the biggest demon in the world, more then money also, it can make people go crazy and make them do also crazy things.

Wars over territories and religion have been going on since centuries. In every century there have been people who would do anything to gain power and in the bargain make millions of people suffer. People who want wars to happen are never on the frontline. The ones on the frontline are the normal people who never want any type of war or power.

Sometimes I think to myself, that if normal people stop getting in to military then automatically the power of these few people will go down because they will not have enough people to create wars. Or that every single person is focused on finding their inner-peace then the thoughts of violence and terrorism will never occur and with that no wars will ever happen. People will start feeling contended with what they have and wherever they are.

Outer peace starts with inner peace, once the inner-peace is achieved then no more terrorism, and this can be achieved only through meditation and other spiritual practices.
