Meaty Sandwich

We always grill our homemade beef patties on our home barbecue pit. Don't get me wrong. Our homemade cheesy beef burgers taste awesome. Our friends say likewise and are always asking to be invited for burgers and fries.

I therefore have little opportunity to try out authentic American BBQ food at any of the numerous joints across the city.

I must have been thinking out loud as one afternoon I was told that we would be going to Lil Jakes for sandwiches.

The restaurant was indeed busy. The tables are placed rather close together and the room crowded with hungry customers. Everyone seems to be talking and digging into their food.

We ordered BBQ sandwiches of burn ends and rib tips. Lots of fries and delicious sauces. A truly satisfying meal.
