Changes and adjustments | Mid-year actualization

in #life7 years ago (edited)

We are halfway away from the beginning of 2018 and halfway near to its end. How is your year going? Already achieving the goals you set right from the start of January along with the new year's resolution you planned?

Many things have changed in the first six months of my 2018, like everybody but different in some way. Our condo unit in Pasig totally vanished in our hands. We gave it back to the bank in spite of we still got 5 months of what they called gracing period to find someone who might be interested to rent or buy the unit. We waited, I guess… time is dawdling when you're in worry. Until one day… we decided to just LET IT GO. SET THE MISERY FREE!

Opening up with your family about all the grudges you feel, a family who will listen without judgment that will make us see things clearer. While staying compressed makes problems grow from bottling it up until it explodes!

Good thing that we did the opposite. And now we're doing great! Living better and somehow… Smarter!
Just making small adjustments to new jobs, new lifestyle, and new home!

New jobs!
I have a day job in a travel agency as reservation officer. Expect me to blog about my detailed duties at work. While great perhaps got a night job at a service provider company for doctors and lawyers in Quezon City.

New lifestyle
Simple lifestyle is easier to follow when you faced such financial instability. This never happened to be an issue for us since we are both raised by regular Filipino families to complain. After selling the car, we adjusted immediately to commuting. Impressive right? Specifically to my partner's effort, when he has to ride jeep and a bus at night to his work. I also enjoyed walking when going to the mall, grocery, and dentist since those are just 2-3km away from where we live right now. I'm seeing ourselves getting in shape and living a healthy life for the rest of the year.

New home and people.
We're currently living in the middle of 2 big cities: Taguig and Makati. As I mentioned above, we are 2-3km away from renowned Malls, Coffee Shops, Grocery Store, Church, Public parks and local markets. The transportation is very accessible when going to South and even in the North part of Metro Manila.

From our previous home in Pasig, I bring my plants with us here. Nanay Fancy is very fond of plants. She insisted to bring all my plants in her house, although I am planning to leave them and just let them die. Moving the plants from Pasig to Makati did not cause any problem. They are pleased by the environment on getting exposed to more sunlight, becoming more alive and chirpy than how they used to be in our small space in the condo.

Summon up the basil plants I cut and posted here? This is how grown they are now. I already ate some of it as a dip for carrot and cucumber stick. And Jane re-pot it, nobody can stop basil to just grow.

I don't have new friends in the hood yet as I stay indoors most of the time. Maybe one day I could meet new buddies if there's a weird one hiding indoors just like me nearby. Let the fate do that alone!

Me and my great perhaps are more than grateful to survived everything with the help of his loving family. They welcomed us in this new home with an open heart. They are very supportive towards him and even to me. The vibe at this new home is always light, this family is always full of laughter. The kids are always cracking up a joke and very pleasant to be around.

What to learn from the first half of the year if you experienced failure?

It's okay to change your mind. It's okay to quit when you don't feel comfortable at all.

And eliminate…
"I'm losing! I cannot make it to the finished line!" mindset!
We must understand to not let losing the game change us in a negative way. Let's actualized the second half of the year create a new game that will challenge ourselves and that will give something to look forward to the future.
