Ramadan:The Blessed Month
It is the 9th month in our lunar calendar.Ramadan has a very special place in islam and as Allah has said ramadan is the most superior month among all months.It is indeed the blessed month as the Holy book Quran was revelaved to Prophet Muhmmad SAW during this month.
It is the pillar of islam and pillars of islam represent the core basics,from theology to rituals to social responsibility.Fasting is the fourth pillar which promotes a great aspect of spritual uplift and a pure relationship with Allah.It is indeed a blessed month,and a beautiful gift from Allah
Fasting is an order from Allah on his slaves.When someone is fasting,he or she would be engaging in one of the most hounarable things in life;answering the call of Allah.We owe Allah to be obedient and when we fast we are demonastrating the submission to his might .
Fasting does not means not to eat or drink rather it means and teaches us to be patient and control ourselves.We should avoid thimgs which Allah S.W.T has forbidden.We should not hurt anyone or speak any evil.If anyone tries to hurt you or argues with you do not argue back.Try to control yourselves.
Fasting is also an act of worship that feeds into the purpose of our life and existence on duniya.Worshipping Allah gives us the meaning that there is no worthy of our worship but him i.e Allah,Allah the one whom we can trust,one whom we owe our existence and all our survival depends on him.Fasting removes our sins,it is ofcourse the nature of the person to commit sin and we can purify or erase our sins by fasting.It is a major tool given by Allah to us to wash ourselves clean from those sins
Fasting is indeed the door of rewards.Good deeds are earned in many ways and fasting is one of them.Fasting is meant to bring lots of good deeds because it is a secret act of worship between the servant and His Lord that no one else knows about and in this blessed month the sattan is closed and the doors of heaven are opened.It is that act which teaches us patience.Every person will be abstaining
from food and water for such a long time, and that is all about Sabr.
Ramadan is the month of repentance.This is the month to repent from all our sins
Beware of delaying repentance for sins can grow until your heart is completely covered with no righteousness left in it. Beware from the whispers of Satan that discourages you from repentance from fear of falling back into sin. Repentance is power, In sha Allah, and the more sincere you are the more help you will get from Allah to hold on. It is true, He is the All Forgiving but He is also the One who can punish severely.
We should intend to be in the state that Allah and His Messenger love for us to be in.
