Morning Life Hacks- Part 1
Mornings can be extremely difficult. I have always wanted to be a morning person, but it just seems like I am a night owl at heart.
However, I have found a few life hacks that make my mornings a little more bearable! I will be doing a 3 or 4 part series over the next week, so stay tuned to see home helpful tricks!
Today we will be focusing on the Night Before:
1. Make sure you have gas and a go-to spot for your car keys!
It is the worst feeling to do a mad dash to find your car keys in the morning. This can really throw off the start to your day. Try to keep them in a consistent spot so you will never have to search again! I personally like mine hanging on our coat rack. It is the second worse feeling to start your car and see that your fuel light is on. Not to mention, it always seems like that happens on the days you are already running behind or have an important meeting to get to. Gas up the night before to beat the morning rush and give yourself peace of mind!
2. Lay out your clothes the night before!
Think about what your plans are for the next day and plan accordingly! Have them laying out and ready to wear. Doing this the night before guarantees that you will be looking on point the next day since you won't have to think with your morning brain. This is a also good way to make sure you have clean underwear....we've all been there..
3. Set Your Alarm(s)!
Setting TWO alarms can be very helpful! Set one alarm for the time you need to wake-up. Set another alarm 10 minutes before you are supposed to leave. This serves as a friendly reminder to put a little pep in your step if you have been dragging your feet. Start wrapping up what your doing so you can get on the road!
Hope you have a great Monday and stay tuned for more life hacks!
I resonate with part 2 so strongly. There are times before I'm about to go to sleep and I tell myself "mehhh, you can do it in the morning." But then i sit and think girl, you know it's going to being a rushing havoc tomorrow morning if you don't. And it will throw your whole day off. Just do it now, while you're more awake than you will be in the morning. And just mapping that situation out before it becomes a situation tomorrow makes all the difference in my morning routine.
@miranda.odell Thanks so much for your comment! I can totally relate. If I don't think it through the night before sometimes I end up looking a mess since I am rushing to get out the door! As silly as it sounds, I think I even sleep better knowing that I don't have to worry about it in the morning! Just adds a calming effect to the morning, and shaves off some time in getting ready!
Absolutely. It's just a snowball effect from there. Coffee doesn't taste as great cuz you have no time to enjoy it, you forget to brush your teeth, or deodorant. Routine is essential. Most of the time. I like a little spontaneity every now and again. Haha

What happens when your mind has trained your body while you are sleeping to keep hitting the snooze button over and over until you sleep past the time you need to wake up !! Lol
