5 short TED talks that will motivate you on mondays!

in #life6 years ago (edited)

I love mondays!... said no one ever!!!! Personally, I hate mondays. I know they say that if you love what you do you will stop hating mondays, but let's be honest, even if you adore your job, going back to the routine after spending all sunday watching netflix and eating junk food is freaking hard!

Therefore if you're feeling tired and unmotivated, this is the perfect post for you today, because I’ve found an effective remedy to brighten up the crack of a new week: TED Talks. An inspiring talk ,first thing in the day or in the middle of it, never fails to dust your mind clean of the gloom. And most of these talks are under 10 minutes, so you can watch them easily before you start working or in your lunch time.

So fill up your cup of coffe and check out my 7 favorite short TED Talks for when you find your mornings in need of a pep up.

When the blues take over you: The Museum of Four in the Morning
This will reaffirm your faith in the whole idea of ‘the whole universe coming together to make things happen’. It’s sure to put a bright smile on your face instantly.

When things aren’t looking up: The three A’s of Awesome

When you are feeling stressed out: How to Make Stress your friend
For those who are constantly online and working even on the weekends, stress is an all too common a feeling. But to feel so at the start of a fresh week is not likely to do much for your productivity. Kelly McGonigalshares her findings on how we can (and need to) re-calibrate our minds to view stress contrarily, different than our current notion/belief of it is as a life-threatening disease of sorts.

When you need to just clear your head: Nature. Beauty. Gratitude
Louie Schwartzberg tells about his encounters with nature. He talks about a time when he chose a life with ample time — free from television and phone, with access only to the US mail — and how he carried around with him an amazing sense of adventure all this while.

Something to help you find your creative center: Where creativity hides?
Amy Tan delves into the creative process and talks about how she discovered her own. She talks about how a state of nothing can give rise to something spectacular, and how intent, musings, and life encounters play crucial roles in helping find your creative side.
