About Trying

Greetings, travelers!

Life's been a hurry lately, but I find myself proud that I've taken care of me in a more thoughtful and gentle way than in previous hurries.

See, I don't believe that there can be existence without chaos. I feel like the simple fact that we are (or at least most of us claim to be) sentient and rational already is a combo that overloads our cognition capacity in overwhelmingly chaotic ways.

All that mumbling and complicated words to also try to say that unpredictability is part of life. It takes time, effort and a whole freaking lot of patience to exist and try and do things the best you can. And a lot of the time we'll find ourselves in a hurry to do things. You might find yourself tired of doing, tired of thinking. You might find yourself tired of thinking of doing. But in most cases, we have to keep going. Accepting the inevitabilities of living is an inescapable journey.

I'm happy, and I hadn't been this happy in a long time. We need to cherish the sunny days. And the existence of the storms are what makes them more special. Knowing that we have some little control, that we can build and nourish projects in a longer scale, that we can materialize some love in this grey world, gives me hope. And hope is a really powerful feeling. It fuels us into trying. And trying is probably the most difficult and most rewarding thing in this life.

I took the photo that stamps this post yesterday, with my dear partner, after we had a wonderful picnic together in the park. The sunset was really spectacular. She is really spectacular. I hope we all can find the will within us to try. That society someday can try to choose Life instead of any other idiotic social construct.

Maybe the future could be better for everyone. But it makes me profoundly sad to be so pessimistic about it. I'll keep trying.
