FEAR AS A TOOL FOR PROMOTING NATIONAL VALUES AND HEALTHY LIVING ON STEEMIT PART 1

in #life7 years ago

Fear can be defined as that anxious feeling about a possible or probable situation or event that had occurred or about to occur. It is an emotional experience, which results from human unspeakable thoughts. As humans, the fear of known is inevitable but the high level of it depends on the level of thought given to a particular known or unknown situation. What this means is that, it is our excessive thought/ thinking that brings about fear. Fear can be positive or negative.

A positive fear is that fear that promotes good behaviour. It emanates from what you have been taught from the beginning as a child. This fear brings about the fear of God Almighty and respect for one's family, organizations, groups like steemit and the country at large. Examples of such fear include:

  • the fear of braking God's commandments and laws of one's country, society, organizations or groups like steemit community.
  • fear of disrespect for elders and constituted authorities.
  • fear and respect for one's family values, dignities, norms and cultures etc.

We should all be aware that in any group or society we belong, there is always rules and regulations guiding such and for one to be successful in any of the groups one belong to,their rules and regulations must be feared. For instance, in the steemit community for you to merge as a winner in a quote or any other contest, you must keep the rules so also are other communities we belong. Positive fear encourages good conduct, self and family respect. In steemit, it boasts your reputation. It makes you to run away from certain troubles and temptations which you might found yourself into.

Negative fear in other hand is the opposite of positive fear. It is that fear that has no meaning or impact in one's life or society. It is an unnecessary worry for a particular thing, problem or situation which one found or might found his/herself into. It is a fear of repercussion of evil committed or an event to take place. Negative fear occurs as a result of disobeying positive fears. This type of fear can lead someone into committing more crimes to cover another or avert a punishment . Examples of such fears are:

  • fears of failure
  • fears of death
  • fears of humiliation and confession of evil committed
  • fears of powers
  • fears and phobia for living and non living things
  • fears of future events,disgrace, confronting one's problems,mistrust, etc.

Negative fear has led to the collapse of many families, societies, groups and nations. Brothers can no longer sit together to eat and discuss issues because of fear of being harmed by another. People now run from church to church and other places of interest to seek protection. Societies and nations are not exempted, they wage wars against another because of fear of captivity, dethronement or demotion, etc. Peace, love and trust have declined in our society today, tribalism and racism has become the talk of the day because of negative fears.

It is high time we do away with all negative fears and embrace that which promotes healthy living in our various societies and nations. Confront the situation, tell the truth always, teach your children and generations positive fear, obey rules and regulations, live it and love it ! TOGETHER WE SHALL RULE THE WORLD.

Thank you so much for taking time to read and watch out for the part two of this post.

thanks for supporting

Fear is a perfect faith to failure. We can live with losing the good fight but we cannot live with not fighting it. Fear hinders. Nice one.

yes, only when negative fear is applied. thanks for your comment

Ofcourse. You are welcome.

Fear is really a tool. Just like fire, it can create and it can destroy. Thanks @marygreat for sharing this insight.
