An Inspirational “SuperBalloonMan”

We all know well that with each passing day, our life will teach an invaluable lesson to us. If we stay alert and keenly observe the happenings around us, we are bound to learn more lessons than we can imagine. One day I have encountered an inspiring personality who has removed the disability of my mind.

One day, en route to my office, while I was travelling in a train, I had this motivational experience. As a sign of advancement of Science & Technology, it seems, almost all the people got hooked up to their smart phones and as a result, none has noticed this handicapped person including myself. He was suffering from Dowager’s hump or kyphosis with crippled fingers.

If there was any other person suffering from this very same disability, he would have been surely resorted to begging to survive, but this man of self-respect hasn’t even lost an iota of self confidence and that is simply amazing, isn’t it?

Do you know what creative tactic he has used to attract all of us? While we were all busy with our gadgets, all of a sudden, we heard a balloon deflating sound, with the balloon flying hither and thither and finally flying out of the train. Anyhow it didn’t bother him. He took another balloon with his “crippled fingers” and without any difficulty, he started blowing another balloon and he let it fly again. This time, it fell on a person’s shoulder and that person took that balloon and returned it to him. It is very difficult even to hold a thing with those fingers, but he was picking it up, blowing it and finally selling it just like a pro as if he was not suffering from any disease!

The eagerness that he has showed to make his both ends meet despite his handicap inspired almost all of us. Added to this, he gave a discount offer. “If you buy balloons from me, you will be getting three big balloons for Rs.10/-, but you will be getting only one for the same amount in the market.” With those magical words, he was able to make a decent business. It is worth mentioning here that not only his self confidence, but also the people’s humanitarian side came to his rescue.

Very happily, this person with magnetic personality got down from that compartment and entered into another one. I too followed him and saw the History repeated again.…

He is a “SuperBalloonMan” to all of us not because he has super powers, but because he conquered his handicap with a resolute commitment and towering self confidence!

PS: Even though I had a smartphone with myself, i didn't click his picture. I didn't forget, but i was caught spellbound! It was only after i reached my home, i came to myself! I am extremely sorry for the blunder i made.
