RE: Prayers in the Storm: Staring into the Eye of a Hurricane
I remember watching that on Television. That and many other storms. But never have we been in the midst of it as we have with Dorian. We listened, we watched, we prepared. We sat in our beautiful home on the Coast of Nova Scotia and listened to the howling winds. No power, meant, for us no water, no communication with the outside world. We knew it was destructive and we hoped and prayed. In the aftermath our little community on the Coast stayed intact, except for a mess everywhere. It took days for it all to sink in and to see what havoc and destruction it has done to our beautiful province of Nova Scotia. A week later people are still without power. Beautiful old trees like matchsticks all over. Marinas damaged, which here means their livelihood as this is a fishing province. We pray each moment that no lives were lost. However, the storm left a destruction that it takes years to recover from, if at all. But still, people show their resilience and come together. We hope and pray never to witness such a thing ever again. Thank you for sharing such a poignant story. God Bless you and thank you for showing us the power of the human spirit.
