My experience as my brother's wedding planner
My brother is getting married! And i've been the wedding planner these months.
Planning a wedding is not an easy task, it's absolutely stressful, and even more if the bride wants everything to be perfect, as everyone would like to, of course.
The bride starts complaining all the time because the flowers are not the color she asked for, or the dress is so tight she cannot breathe, or the place is so small for her wedding because she wants to invite the whole country to see the most important event of her life.
I have to handle everything and try to find anything he wants so my brother and her could be so happy in that day.
Until now, the hardest part of planning the wedding, has been finding the perfect food for everybody, i mean, a dish that all the guests can enjoy while it is elegant but not so expensive.
Desserts and cake: THE CAKE is the most important center of attention, after THE BRIDE of course, but we (as family) think that it is kind of unnecessary to have made a GIANT cake of 8 steps that only a few would taste after they have eaten lots of side dishes. So we've made a beautiful cake of 3 steps, simple but elegant and pretty, chocolate filled, so the best part will be the inside.
We're planning a wedding with no alcohol bar, so the only alcohol at the reception will be the champagne to cheer at my brother and his girlfriend, wife after all of this.
I think that an important part of a party, wedding in this case, is making the guests feel confortable and happy, and of course, the hosts of it, groom and bride in this case, so if everything goes well, they will remember that day as a beautiful and important one.
The whole thing looks good, but we're still missing lots of details.
If you're planning a wedding, remember that the most important part is making the couple happy so they can spend and amazing day with their family in that special moment.
I'm not trying to say you have to do everything they want, i'm trying to say that you have to try finding a solution to everything, so maybe you cant find exactly what they want, but you find something that fits them and their budget, and can work perfect for what they want, DO IT, so that, they will be happy and greatful with you!
