Valentine's day gone sour.

in #life7 years ago (edited)

There was a lot of preparation for Valentine's day, most of my course mates were already making plans of how to travel to different places to see their boo's and bae's not until a lecturer walked into our class to fix a test on Val's day.

Most people murmured and sighed in high tone but it didn't change anything.
All hope is not lost sha, my friend Claire said to me. Since the test is by 12:00pm, we should be done before 2:00pm and still celebrate val.

We waited for Mrs Jemimah till 1:00pm before she came to conduct the test.

We were almost leaving when the class representative announced at 2:10pm to the class that the next lecture (Che 314) would hold at 3pm, there were murmuring from all sides of the class.
“Not again!”, someone shouted from behind. “That man has no chill at all”, a girl said to her seatmate. “Does he not have a family?”, another asked. “I heard he is having issues with his wife, and that is why he tries to do anything that will keep him away from home till night", her neighbour interjected. These and many more, were protests and angry comments flying around the class, yet no one dared to move or make any effort to leave the class.

Mr Okafor was known for his strict adherence to the school rule of “75% attendance for a student to be allowed to sit for an exam”, and his students knew better than to cross him by missing his classes.

We knew that he'll probably come by 4:00pm and the class would last till 6:00pm or 6:30pm, by that time we would have been too tired to do any other thing.sign-2012217_1920.jpg [Source] (pixabay)
