Hoisting an Outboard the Redneck Way
I got the word that everything looks good for my house sale today and was contacted to arrange the closing by the closing company! My Dad asked for some help getting an outboard motor off his boat so we rigged up this block which we tow strapped to an old swing set.
Here's the pulley block with a heavy tow strap.
It was wrapped a few times around the top of the walking deck. This was an old play swing set that's been sitting around a long time. Perfect for times you need a structure to hoist things with!
Using the winch on the trailer the cable was fed that through the pulley block and attached to the motor.
We gave er a little test to make sure everything was gonna hold. Looks good to go full tilt like a peterbuilt!
I'll be working on the transition aquaponics system more tomorrow and putting a part 1 build post out.
Yours in liberty toward a brighter future,
