Pastels at Dawn a New Zealand sunrise

With everything that's been going on in the world lately, I've been a bit "flat" to say the least.  Just to top it off,  I had found my favorite cat, my buddy and friend, had died overnight the Sunday before.  I think it was genetic, as his brother went the same way.  Their father was a true blue feral cat.  He was only 6 yrs old.   

So off to the beach for a sunrise encounter, it always gives me a few moments of peace and reflection.  

Watching a sunrise, is my way of "seizing the day".  

These are a few shots of the sunrise on Sunday 17th Sept (NZ time) it was very pastel and calming.  The day before (Sat) the sea was rough with long wisps of water coming from off the tops of the waves.  What a difference a day makes

A soft haze of cloud diffuses the colours
