The old slavery was by using black people to work for food and nothing else
Same as now
The current slavery is hiring people and pay them paper money that is made by the government for example let's say an employee work for about 3000$ per month
Now he got paid after 1 month of working, first thing he do is going to Walmart and spend money at food
He feels rich with that 3000$ and start going to caffes and bars..., After he spend it all the happiness finish and start working again.
Imagine doing this for your whole life
So basically you work you get paper and spend it and same again and again
