The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck--Book Recommendation
This weekend I’ve read an interesting book—《THE SUBTLE ART OF NOT GIVING A F*CK 》, it’s a funny book, and also inspired me a lot about my life for which things I should give a fuck about and which shouldn’t.
The desire for more positive experience is itself a negative experience. And, paradoxically, the acceptance of one’s negative experience is itself a positive experience.
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a -Fuck-
Subtlety #1: Not giving a -fuck- does not mean being indifferent; it means being comfortable with being different.
Subtlety #2: To not give a -fuck- about adversity, you must first give a -fuck- about something more important than adversity.
Subtlety #3: Whether you realize it or not, you are always choosing what to give a -fuck- about.
Happiness Comes from Solving Problems
Problems are a constant in life. Remember, nobody who is actually happy has to stand in front of a mirror and tell himself that he's happy. Highs also generate addiction. The more you rely on them to feel better about your underlying problems, the more you will seek them out.
Whatever makes us happy today will no longer make us happy tomorrow, because our biology always needs something more.
