My doctor will NEVER forget -- A true story

When I was little for whatever reason, when I would get sick, it was always my throat. I'm sure we've all had strep or a sore throat at one point.. I think we can all agree, It's VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

I would, in my mind sometimes.. imagine sticking my hand in there and ripping out the plagued part of my esophogas and throwing it all the wall. Hey, I said it was a true story.

You click your tongue against the roof of your mouth to itch as far back as you can, you eat non-stop halls breathing menthol fire in and out. And when you ran out... back to square 1.

So after 1,2,3 days out of school.. that was a very big deal for me and my parents. They weren't "cool," about that kind of stuff, I only stayed home if I was dying. Realistically, I was having the time of my life chilling at home (literally) wrapped in blankets with the chills, slurping up chicken noodle soup, watching the "kids next door."

LOVED that show.

So you have to go to the doctors, a fate worse than death to me as a kid. Because they would do onto me something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy..

THE TROAT CULTURE. UGGHHHGGHGHGHHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHHGGHGHGHHGHGHGHGHGHGHGH.

God every time they would do it I almost choked to death they just jammed it in there, no remorse. An it's just an awkward, painful, just again uncomfortable sensation. Little cotton hairs stuck in the back of your throat, and it still hurts. She looks pretty stoked about it, huh.

I didn't understand it, because ancetometophen or whatever they prescribed was pretty much harmless and tasted that bubble gum delicious flavor I actually looked forward to. Why couldn't they just give it to me!!! Worst comes to worst I had a thick, tasty beverage.

So anyways.. I go into the doctors to get this throat culture. I knew what was going to happen and I refused up and down. No way jose.

It got so bad the doctors had to hold me down but I escaped and in a desperate effort to be excused from the procedure tried to rip his phone out of the wall, and I was partially successful.. it was just hanging there.

Turns out, this didnt help my case whatsoever, not only did I get the culture which was god awful as always but I had to write an apology note to the doctor which TO THIS DAY, he will not allow me to forget. He kept the card and everything.

When I turn 26 in march, I will no longer be able to go to this doctor. And to be honest, I'm gonna miss him :) hahaha
