The Kindness Code - Pioneers of the Paradox
Without doubt when we float above the edges of a paradox we are opened up to extended horizons, and a way of thinking that is beyond our customary and routine thought patterns.
So what do we mean by a paradox? It is usually defined as simply a question or statement that completely goes against logic.
Here's an example...why is it that simply standing is more tiring than walking?
Or this one "No-one ever goes to that restaurant because it's always too crowded!"
The paradox involves contradictory yet interrelated elements that seemingly cannot be resolved, and those elements then continue to exist simultaneously and persist over time.
If you'd really like to explore 10 more intriguing paradoxes this 7 minute video will really "bake your noodle," as the Oracle said to Neo in The Matrix!
Similarly at the end of the Star Trek: The Next Generation Series Finale, 'All Good Things,' Q from the omniscient race called the Q Continuum tells Captain Jean-Luc Picard...
"We wanted to see if you had the ability to expand your mind and your horizons, and for one brief moment you did.
Picard: When I realised the paradox.
Q: Exactly. For that one fraction of a second, you were open to options you had never considered. That is the exploration that awaits you. Not mapping stars and studying nebulas, but charting the unknown possibilities of existence."*
While I am not suggesting that we trust Q for a moment, when we stand upon the thresholds of a paradox which we cannot logically resolve, there appears to be a cracking, an opening in our consciousness and it is in this moment that we become consciousness pioneers capable of boldly going where no-one has gone before.
What follows is a short excursion and a mini exploration of consciousness with four seemingly inverse or paradoxically phrased truisms with the sole objective of making us think outside the box, and maybe scratching our collective heads!
"Some people complain because the rose has thorns; I am thankful because the thorns have a rose." Alphonse Karr.
"Become nothing, and he will turn you into everything" Rumi.
"Travelling the world broadens horizons but often makes the traveller deeply introspective." Lilygolightly
"Music expresses that which cannot be put into words, and that which cannot remain silent." Victor Hugo.
Would be lovely to see some of your favourite confounding paradoxical or inverse thoughts in the comments...

I guess my favourite paradox is that of freedom. You are free to chose but you are not free from the consequences of that choice. :) Always a tough one...
Oooh yeah...a lovely juicy one that one is @kobiespriggs, thanks for pointing that out.
Another similar mind bender is this...we are granted free will, but just how free IS our will? 💚
Beautiful! I can't recall a good example of a paradox right now, but I completely agree with the messege. The idea of expanding our minds beyond what we are able to understand. We think we know things, and try to measure experiences with tools make out of our own understanding. Be well!
Now if this isn't a coincidence...I was just over on your blog commenting on you being flushed with success at installing your new sink system and at the exact same time...you were here adding that lovely comment to mine! I just love it when synchronicity appears like magic out of the wild blue yonder!
When we think we know, we clearly don't know, ya know? Paradox gives us the little breaks in our preconceived notions, bakes our noodles and returns us to the fold with a fresh newly minted perspective which just has to be a good thing, right?
Happy new watering hole my friend! 😊💦❤️
Fresh perspective is great! I would hope we could all get a little more!
I do like that we were both commenting haha.
Synchronous isn't it? On the beam! 😊
Oh to see the fresh perspective or even better the BIG picture eh? Instead of scrabbling around with pieces of the puzzle not seeing the woods for the trees!
Which is why the evolution of consciousness is so very important right now because as more people wake up, expand their minds, begin to see things as they really are (wonders, warts and all) the better chance we all have of fixing what's broken in ourselves, in our communities and on planet earth herself! 💚
This is actually really deep!
Nice write-up :)
Ever since I watched that last ever Next Gen episode those lines have stuck with me! You're bang on @jakeybrown those lines ARE VERY deep indeed! ⭐️
