Fashions come and go, each century brings its new zeal, way of dressing, way of speaking and music to listen, it is inevitable and will always be in constant change, we have already gone through many times, like forgetting all those who ever They were emo, or rockers and metalheads, this time I will inform you about a trend that has been gaining strength since 2016 and already for this year is something very well known and popular among young people today.

 
The sad-boys is a subculture that was born on the internet, specifically in the social network -tumblr- in about the year 2011, however began to take force in mid-2016 thanks to the pages of facebook which constantly made reference memes towards the sad-boys, which also gave a change of change and gave a more humorous touch to that culture 

 
Now, what is your culture about? They would really come as a mixture of certain tendencies with a different essence, the sad boys have similarities with the indie culture, the hipster and the emos, but here there is a difference that for them themes about sadness and suicide are not something serious, but they take it in a sarcastic and ironic way, the genre of music that they usually hear is rap and vaporwave.  They tend to be too faithful to the brands of the products they are going to consume, such as Fiji water, Arizona ice tea and Gatorade, in Hispanic countries they added another one, the Vive100% energy drink, besides that they also have a inclination towards certain animes, such as evangelion, naruto, among others. 

 Their aesthetics or way of dressing consists of wearing bucket hat, shirts with too many drawings or with a sad face ":(" and quite long and wide sports sweatshirts, sometimes they usually add Japanese words and wear a balaclava

 
Their lifestyle consists in showing an attitude that they call "ironic" towards topics such as suicide or consumerism, listening to vaporwave and trap, a variant of hip hop and its biggest distinctive and on which this subculture is based: aesthetics , for them aesthetics is what gives value to things, although they have an unconventional vision, windows 98, dolphins, palm trees, Japanese culture, Greek sculptures, cities at night, objects of American popular culture of the 80's, 90's and early 2000s and video games are things that they understand as "aesthetic".
