Getting married

It was a cool evening, Emeka has finished work for the day and decided to stroll back home , on he’s way home he bumped into a nice looking lady.

He greeted her and she answered him, to his surprise he found out that she was her ex in high school but he didn’t let her know with fear that she might not want to talk to him after a terrible break up he gave to her.

Emeka only succeeded in collecting her digits and knowing her name{Amanda) that day, on reaching home he was terrified because he didn’t know how to re ignite the relationship he tore apart by himself.

His mom came back from the market late at night and saw her son worried and wanted Emeka to share his problems with her, at first he didn’t want his mother to know but she insisted and he spilled the beans {narrated the story to her].

The next day Emeka convinced her to go on a date with him, they did spend time together very well, she started falling for him on the first date, when Emeka saw how she was open to him, he himself decided to be open to her by telling her the real him, this move by Emeka instantly ruined the date, Amanda now couldn’t bear this, she hurried home while Emeka was trying to explain himself but all fell on Amanda’s deaf ears, she didn’t want to listen to him.

Days went by they didn’t talk, Emeka called her line several times but she didn’t pick up, he took it upon himself to find out where she lived. When he finally did he wanted to make things right with her by explaining to her why he left in the first place.

After Emeka’s explanation Amanda decided to give him a second chance to make things right which he agreed to.
Emeka was like the happiest man on earth when he was given a second chance, in fact he swore to perfect their time which he fulfilled in the best he was doing.

It was Amanda’s 26th birthday and Emeka decided to celebrate with her, after the celebration in front of the crowd Emeka proposed, she was over excited and couldn’t say no , she gave Emeka a big hug and agreed to his proposal.
They both got married the next month and lived happily ever after.
