SHOCKING TRANSFORMATION! ‘RHONY’ STAR IS UNRECOGNIZABLE AFTER DRAMATIC MAKEOVER

Some call it a makeover. Some call it a makeunder. Either way, there’s no denying that Dorinda Medley looks nothing like herself in one of her latest Instagram pictures! The Real Housewives of New York City star posted a photo of a brand new look this week, and her followers were far from excited about the transformation when asked about their opinions.

New Look, New Dorinda?

If she’s looking for a way to be unrecognizable, Dorina Medley sure has found it.

The Real Housewives of New York City star is known for her wild antics and being part of a few major feuds (one of which you can watch later in this article). However, she looked like an entirely different person in her Instagram Story this week when she was snapped wearing a short brown bob with bangs.

In the video, Dorinda looked unrecognizable in a brunette wig and chunky turtleneck. “What do you think people are going to think of my new look? Do I look totally different? What do we think as a brunette? Do you like it? Yes or No?” she asked followers.

According to the accompanying poll, it was strong, resounding “NO” from the fans, with over 80 percent against the new ‘do. Immediately, RHONY followers took to Reddit to discuss the possibility of this well-known blonde bombshell trading in colors.

“Dorina if she [was] middle class,” wrote one fan on the new style.

Another joked, “She works at Joann Fabric now.”

Some fans thought that the 53-year-old was maybe trying to hide from the paparazzi, or just fly under the radar.

“I feel like this is one of those transformations celebrities have when they appear on undercover shows to surprise fans,” one follower said about what they clearly thought was a make-under.

“I had no idea who this was,” wrote another Redditor. They weren’t alone, as someone else replied: “I saw the username and still thought it was one of us sh*t posting lol.”

One fan of the show, who had actual criticism of the new look, wrote, “She looks really washed out with that color and those bangs and that awful sweater.”

In a reply, someone else added, “Her short and blond hair is so much more flattering. The long darker hair seems to accentuate the wrong features. She looks like a different person. I wouldn’t recognize her.”

Others said that the entire look was just underwhelming.

“She looks like a normal person,” said an unimpressed Redditor. “Not bad but I do like blonde on her.”

And finally, one person wrote what many were thinking, “We do NOT watch these shows for these b**ches to look normal!”
Hiding From A Castmate?

Of course, maybe she’s trying out this new look so she can hide when RHONY co-star Bethenny Frankel finally comes to throw hands with her. The two have been smack talking back and forth for months now and, most recently, Dorinda sounded off on the podcast Juicy Scoop.

When asked who she through got most favorably portrayed during the show, she said it was “obvious” that it was the Skinnygirl creator .

“Here’s the problem — we all are valuable women,” she said. While that sounds nice enough, she went on to throw some pretty intense shade.

“All of us have been successful, we all have been in love, we’ve lost love, we’ve raised children,” Dorinda continued. “I don’t want the audience to forget that our lives didn’t start on reality TV, like some of us, we had big big lives before that.”

During the tenth season of the Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny was less than appreciative when the cast went up to Dorinda’s Berkshires home.

“What about when she walks up to the driveway, she goes ‘I put the B in Berkshires?’” Dorinda said, obviously still fired up over the incident. “That’s my house, I put everything into the Berkshires, that is my sh*t, my home, it is mine.”

Bethenny also recently unfollowed all of her castmates on social media, which Dorinda quipped was childish.

“She unfollowed me, Ramona [Singer], Carole [Radziwill] and, I think, Luann [de Lesseps], which I found very odd because we’re all on a show,” she said. “But we like to play kindergarten games, right?”
Hurtful, Mean, and Unnecesary

During this past season, Dorinda was pretty intoxicated during a cocktail hour at a dinner party that Bethenny threw in Miami with one of her charity partners. Bethenny subsequently called Dorinda “a drunk,” telling the mother of one, “You shouldn’t be drinking. When you drink, you get mean. There’s something going on … you can’t act like that.”

Dorinda later opened up about the incident, saying, “It was very hurtful, and it was mean, and it was unnecessary.”

While Dorinda obviously has been known to enjoy a cocktail or two (or four), she doesn’t believe that it defines her life. Rather, she thinks that it’s more of Bethenny’s problem than it is hers.

“Every season, she has to label someone. ‘You’re a wh*re. You’re a loser. You’re a drunk. You’re dead to me,” Dorinda said. “I actually thought it was ridiculous and I think people are kind of getting sick of that, but I think it did what she wanted it to do, which was make an impact and get her on TV.”
