You are right about some societies and countries view on tattoos even long hair on guys. When i lived in Tokyo there where a number of things i wasn't allowed to do because of my tattoos. For example some nightclubs wont let you in unless you cover the tattoos same with the onsen bath houses. The older generation in Japan associates tattoos with the mafia.
