Thoughts that have been walking through...

Lunchtime is walking time

Sitting at a desk all day staring at the computer screen has its benefits. We don't talk about it often because we do it too long to realize it. Believe it or not, I do enjoy the desk job. Nonetheless, as much as I enjoy it, some days lunchtime is much needed. After eating, we take a lap around and usually make it to the park behind our building. The trees cover the walkway and it is very refreshing and cool to walk through. That, however, quickly ends once we circle back around the concert buildings that absorb and slap you with rays.

With the recent events at work, these walks are cherished more and more. We chat about life outside of work and various adventures soon to come or currently here. It often allows us to vent our frustration and dream big dreams. It also distracts from all the hospital visits.

Back in the E.R

I was not in the hospital. My best friend mom, let's call her Mama G. Mama G recently returned to the ICU and it is taking a toll on her body and the family. The details of her health start with Diabetes and end with that disease slowly destroying the body. The bestie is pregnant and her health is top notch even with the recent stresses and it needs to stay that way. The rest of the family is fine as well, but the unknown mixed with faith is taking a toll on all.

My fight/flight sense always kicks in at the oddest times and at this moment it is fast forwarding to the worst case scenario. We are not there and we need not be there ahead of time. We do need to pray more. Not just for her health, the family, and the baby to come. We need to also pray for peace through it all. A sound mind is given to us and fear has no place in these moments. Sure times are scary and we need to believe. What I need from you is all the virtual sound mind encouragement.

Phone is out of commission

The intent of this post was to be posted with actifit. Incorporating the step counting with all the random thoughts that have been walking through my mind. I recently changed providers and it has been less than easy. First, you have to order a sim card online since they don't have a storefront. Then once you receive the sim card, you have to activate it online. Getting my number switched was a cat and mouse chase with my previous provider.

Once completed, the phone needed to be unlocked. At this point, the new sim card was in and that cut off my old provider. With the new card in, but unable to connect I had no service and far from wifi. So, I go to Google, then to one store that tells me to go to another store. Which then told me to call in to request the phone to be unclocked. How does one call with no service? That was a pointless conversation to have with the sales rep. After driving to my dad job and calling in, I was told they would send an email in 24 hours, then follow the steps to unlock my phone. Hassle...

Bit of good news, tomorrow is the Volleyball tournament. Wish us luck!

Motto of the day: This too shall pass, this season is just a season, God's will be done type of encouragement. I know I can count on you as the family takes one moment at a time one step at a time one day at a time.

Small steps towards improvement. Giant leaps of faith for a miracle!

Good luck with the volleyball tournament! I knew you gals will be amazing.

Whereas over here switching is easy as I think the telcos love stealing each other’s customers 😆

Good luck with the volleyball and all the other things going on.
