Right now the charge stations are free! I just use an app (props to Green lots) to unlock the charger and i just plug in. If they do start to charge, which should be soon, it'll be cheaper then gas.
An internal gas combustion engine is about 16% efficient at converting gas to movement with a lot of energy lost to heat and friction, why you need oil and a radiator on a car plus other ways to remove heat. An electic car is 60% efficient at converting energy to movement and get this, there is no radiator or even oil in an electric.
In fact, the only maintanence an electric needs is the battery, anything related to the wheels, and windshield wiper fluid. No more oil changes, transmission fluid changes, radiator flushes, or any other regular car maintanence.
