Features of thinking
The main role in the search for optimal solutions, including the generation of ideas, belongs to thinking. The essence of thinking - in the search for answers and the desire to comprehend reality. When a person thinks, he activates many processes of mental activity: attention and observation, curiosity and memories, evaluation and interpretation, imagination and imagination, memory and cognition.
It happens that a person is well educated, he knows a lot. Do all such people can successfully solve life and professional problems? The presence of a large amount of knowledge in a person does not guarantee him that he will be able to use this baggage quickly and on business. Faced with a difficult task, even the scholar can get lost and not react with the speed and quality of the proposed solution. In this case it is important to be able to think qualitatively. And to learn to think quickly and besides, by offering several solutions to the problem, the development of creative thinking will help, one of the types of which is divergent thinking.
How to develop divergent thinking?
To become a person able to quickly generate a large number of ideas, and original, unique, well-designed, you can use the following methods and exercises for each skill:
Write a list of words (nouns) that would end with the letter "t". The next moment of training could be the creation of a list of words beginning with the letter "l". Try also to create a list of words in which the third letter is "a". Change the letters and perform the exercise for a certain period of time, say, for 3 or 5 minutes. So you will see the dynamics of development of your thinking.
Take any word (for example, a TUB or a BEAR). The task is to create a full sentence from the initial letters. Measure the time it took to complete the task: so you track the fluency of thinking.
